Hi all -

I'm finally getting the message that I have diabetes.  Under a certain level they will tell you it's PRE-diabetes and that's technically where I'm at.  I'm not taking insulin *yet*....just pills (metformin).   But, I went to some education classes and it looks like this is still very serious and DOESN'T get better.  It can be *managed* but damage done is done.

I've got to loose weight so I'm trying a diet.  But I also need to chuck a lot of foods I normally enjoy.  For the most part I eat a very healthy diet but this is really committing not to slip up.  Also, there are definite times I self-medicate with alcohol and I'm pretty sure that should also not be in the picture.

Has anyone had any experiences with diabetes and depression?
