i take adderrall for adult add. it really helps me alot. don't know about ritalin except in young children. effects are usually different after body chemistry changes during puberty. ask your doctor or pharmacist. they are supposed to be well informed in these matters. good luck.

Have never taken it but just want to say good luck with it.

I've heard many a child express how much it has helped them and changed their lives for the better. Years ago I had a step son who took it during the school year only. Today he is one awesome, wonderful, well adjusted and happy man. I"m not sure that would have been true if not for the Ritalin.

Again good luck with it.

Love and hugs,

Shirley

My S.O. takes Strattera and a very good friend of mine takes Ritalin. Both are in early-mid 30's. My Ritalin friend has been taking it for about 5 years or so and claims that it has been a very good thing for her.

I have been taking Ritalin for a few years now. I don't have a prescription , someone gave it to me.  I don't take much but shortly after I take it I often feel happy, which is an unusual experience for me.  I can concentrate more easily on it and I actually feel interested in things, another unusual experience.  I do regret that I have to take a pill to feel happy or interested.
