A little cozy place without anything Christmas-related. No Santas, no Christmas trees, no Christmas carols, no buying presents, no trying to be nice to relatives you only see once a year and doesn't have anything to say too.

Anybody who want to share this place?

i am SOOO dreading next weekends "family" get together. i dont know what to say to these people except i will never plan another family xmas again, i'm not even gonna bother trying to make the cannoli. i've got bronchitis, my hand is still in pain from the accident...everyones asking me how we're going to pay the check at the restaurant...wtf???? i'm NOT gonna pull out a calculator for 25 people and add up how much your pasta and wine was, doesnt it just seem much easier to divide the check equally??? i just dont want to participate!!!

the only good christmas thing so far was me and the boys lying beneath our christmas tree and looking up at the colored lights.... now THATS a good time!!

so if you guys want to join me on the floor and just look up at the pretty colors, feel free... thats where i'll be....

Hal,

Mind if I join you for a couple of days this year, I am starting to feel like toothpaste being squeezed out of a tube by the xmas rush culture and I need to unwind even though it is not yet December. Old age and depression are starting to catch up with me this year as never before.

hugs

For all of us who want an escape from all of THAT....it is not too late...

Please come in and shut the door to THAT hustle bustle.

I for one am putting up a real fight against being guilted into sitting around people I do not really want to spend, an hour with, let a lone most of day and having to pull out and plaster on the smile mask yet AGAIN.... :x

I am riding out the "fake caring" in here for a few days.

Luckily there is a tunnel to Uncle Ed's so I do not have to go out there and can still see friends here.

Warm hugs waiting in here. :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?:

What's this, secret tunnels on the forum? :o Did you apply for planning permission from the Admin? :P

That tunnel sounds like a brilliant idea, I might just try it out myself if it gets difficult here!

Jillie,

I looked over the rules and did not find this requirement. Is there a secret book or rules? :P

I always look forward to Christmas - but, for some reason, not so much this year. Or maybe it's just today ...

why, when it is the busiest time of the year in retail stores, do people who have multiple children walk way ahead of all of the little ones, yelling for them to keep up? they cant see them, who is looking at them (scary experience with jerah as a little girl, man DIRECTLY coming up to us) and what they might be up to, who their kids may be tripping, what their kids may be ripping open/spilling food on/choking on, or if they are even still there!!! :x :x :x

worked in retail for too many yrs. seen way too many careless parents. kids eaten by escalators and all.

i will hide here this yr!!

besides. i am so broke. lottery tickets. 1 ea this yr for gifts!!
