A few years ago I started Lamictal and went up to 300mg per day. Shortly after switched from maximum dose of Paxil to
40mg of Lexapro per day. I immediately noticed than clonazepam didn't work for me anymore as well as atavan and xanax. No calming or euphoric effect even at higher doses. Only made me extremely tired. So nowhere to turn for panic exept exhaustion and sleep.
Anyone know if either of these drugs interfere with clonopin?

Paxil/Paroxetine is a strong liver enzyme inhibitor, specifically the CYP450 2d6 and 3a4 enzymes, and may have been potentiating the clonazepam and other benzodiazepines you tried taking by inhibiting or blocking its removal. When it was removed from the equation this potentiation dissipated.

This may be what you've experienced.
